Posted - 01 Jul 2016 : 16:59:40 Hi Anyone else experience intermittent crashes on EasyPC ? At least once a day in different situations?
Usually I have error log (from Event Viewer): Faulting application name: EPCWin.exe, version: 19.0.4.0, time stamp: 0x56f17ee7 Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.10586.306, time stamp: 0x571afb7f Exception code: 0xc0000005 [...}
and some more exception codes: Exception code: 0xc000041d Exception code: 0xc015000f Exception code: 0xc0000374 Exception code: 0xc0150010
I reinstall whole system (win10 64bit), added another 8GB of ram (16GB now), switch to SSD. I feel is less frequent but still at leas once a day I have crash. Unfortunately support couldn't help me. I had similar issues with my home computer on win7 64b.

Posted - 27 Jan 2017 : 13:25:23 Please note that the fault module in the error report is ntdll.dll - perhaps the most significant core WINDOWS dll. Easy-PC relies heavily on Windows APIs, and as such often gets the blame if there's a Windows instability. Clearly there's little that can be done about this.
The second issue mentioned, critically, is when adding a component. This implies that the cause is damage somewhere in the libraries. Initially, use the library manager to check the contents of all libraries (because any could be inspected during the searches when loading a component). Be suspicious of any entries which aren't plain text.. If you find any, initially delete the index file, which has the same name as the library, but the extension ends in 'x', not 'l'. If this doesn't resolve it, don't try to delete the bad entry, as this will just cause a crash. Instead, create a new library, and move all the undamaged contents across, then delete the corrupt library.
In the worst case, you can selectively disable libraries or groups of libraries on the folders tab of the library manager until you can identify the faulty library. |

Posted - 20 Dec 2016 : 17:06:49 I'm experiencing severe crashing on V19.0.6.
The application crashes almost constantly - I have projects I can no longer work on as performing any action will cause the program to crash... I can start a new project, add one component and POOF! the system freezes.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may be causing it.
Machine - Dell Latitude E7470, Core i7, 16GB RAM, SSD, Windows 7 Enterprise. |

Posted - 04 Jul 2016 : 08:48:14 Ok. I have Dropbox and OneDrive on pc. But none of them is linked to easypc files. And I have File History on (on easypc project files) to backup files to USB stick. |
