I have just recently updated to version 19 on my work PC as we were having issues with our previous version running under Windows 7 (it was an old version).
However the problems seem worse now. Whenever I try and do anything in the program that has to use the windows explorer shell, the software hangs and becomes unresponsive. Opening files. Saving files. Adding technology/library files all make the software hang. I had originally upgraded over the top of our previous installation, but seeing these problems made me think something had gone wrong, so I uninstalled everything, cleaned the computer out and did a fresh install. Same problem persists.

I suspect it's our Antivirus/Malware software that's causing the issue here, but I would like to see if anyone else has any input on this problem. I've taken steps to make sure all drivers on my PC are fully up to date along with Windows, so from that side everything seems okay. Suggestions?

I'm having the same issue.
Are you backing up to the cloud? as Easy PC has an issue with this.
Try making the files available offline which may help.
or make a symbolic link of real directories and cloud.

Automatic backup programs have had detrimental effects in the past so make sure programs such as Sugarsync are not acting on the application.
