Hi,
I have an annoying problem that I cant seem to overcome.
I have created a Library of 'Heatsinks', this works fine and I can load etc no
problems.
In this library I have created an right angle heatsink 100 mm x 60 mm pcb
component. This also loads and is fine but when I run the design checker anything
mounted in the open corner (where the open sides would intersect if it was a box)
in an area roughly 1 inch square comes up as a component to component error?
It's not the end of the world but is very annoying as I have to accept the error.
Any thoughts?

If you open the Easy-PC Help file (press F1) and look in the index for "placement shapes" you will see a brief explanation about how to override the default method of determining the body of the component. This can help in situations where you have odd component shapes, or the outline is somehow disjoint.

Hi,

Yes - I have had this also - the area of the shape is classed as a rectangle, unless a circle - to anything in the open space encompassed by a bounding rectangle of the shape will cause a design error.

Not sure if the boundary shape can be edited.

Shadders.
