Hi All, my first post on this forum.

I recently bought Easy PC, (V15) and also several libraries including the microcontroller ones.

I installed the programme on my main work PC, and also on my laptop so I can work away from the office on projects.
Both installs were from the same install CD, which I received from Number One.
I started work on a project which uses a PIC18F4682/ I-P,
I then continued work on the circuit diagram/schematic on my laptop, and when I did a hole count, the programme told me it didn't recognise the PIC chip.
I went looking in the installed libraries and sure enough, it wasn't there! (there were similar chips but not exactly the right one).

Before I unistall and reinstall everything, I thought I would check here to see if it is a known problem.
The only thing I did differently regarding the install is that there was a demo version installed on the laptop which I didnt unistall before installing the paid for version. I have since unistalled it but it didn't help.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this,

The component PIC18F4682-I_P exists in our Microchip2.cml which is in the Micro Library V4. As long as you have that library installed and the folder is included in the list of folders on the Library dialog, you should be able to find this component.

Does the path have to be exactly the same on both computers?

Check the location of the libraries that you are accessing.
