Hi,

I have a integrity check error on my unused pin of a IC component.
"Ignoring PCB only pad U5.1 on net"

The IC has 8 pins but only use 3. 5 pins are useless.

Anybody know how do I resolve this error?

Thank you.

Best Regards
Siong Boon

You have connected an unused pin on your footprint (e.g a mounting hole) to a net in your pcb layout either by mistake or intentionally.

Simply go to U5.1 and disconnect it from the net.

Is this in Schematic or Layout, and do you mean Design Rule Check? Also depends on how you have designed the component.

Tools=> Design Rule Check. Then tick/untick boxes "net pin with no connection and/or Pin not on a Net. Be care ful as this can also mask real errors. What you have is a warning, not an error.
