This keeps happening !!!!
Creating a new footprint in the PCB footprint editor and you save it to your library .... but it doesn't save it (and doesn't tell you !)
You can check if its saved by trying to save again and if it doesn't say that it already exists, then it didn't save it.
You only find out when you go to your PCB library and discover its not there, by which time its lost and you need to start again !!.

Doesn't happen all the time but very frustrating when it does.
For safety, I am checking by writing the symbol to the library twice. If you don't get an "overwrite" message on the second save, it hasn't saved. What you need to do is save it as a psy (and make sure that saves), then exit and re-enter the EasyPC app, then re-load the psy and try saving to the library again.
