I wish to use certain schematic symbols on PCB layouts. This is to use things such as drawing outlines and other non true component items on a layout used as a 2D drawing.
Is there any easy way to use the Schematic symbol information on a PCB symbol?

Think you will need to create a new library of "footprints" but without any electrical connections. Then create a new library of components using the pcb footprints and then manually add the component onto the pcb layout manually. Now you have two component silk screens to play with (try using both top & bottom silks on a components-on-one-side pcb?), -gets very messy!
