Posted - 13 Aug 2011 : 19:46:45 Since upgrading I seem to have aquired some extra files and folders in the area that I keep my libraries.
The folders carry a name related to the psl, csl etc file names. They contain a number of files and folders. Some additional files have been placed in the root folder with an extension of .dbp These files have long file names with brackets and other non-alphanumeric characters in the file name. My standard backup fails with 'file name too long' and 'suspect corrupt file'.
This is how I found the problem.
Do I need these? What are they for? Can I delete these?
These are all dated the same date as I upgraded.

Posted - 21 Sep 2011 : 08:08:18 files with .DBP extension are 'temporary' files from the Easy-PC Databook. If you open the Databook, then go to View|Options, you can see a setting for the 'Working Files'. This should be set to point to somewhere out of the way but it sounds like yours may no longer be set up.
Those files can be deleted anyway without any ill effects, but unless you change your working folder setting they will come back next time you open the Databook.
