On the "Library Manager" dialog popup tab "Folders" can we have a "defaults" button?

And since I'm having problems with some of my components finding schematic symbols - what is normally here?

Thanks
Al

The .ssx files and others like it are 'index files' for the corresponding libraries. These are maintained automatically by the program, and are used for quick access to information to save trawling the library items themselves.

Fair point about the place for accessing the folder settings, I guess we should also include a button to get to the library folders on the Settings, Preferences, Directories page.

my "C:\Program Files\Number One Systems\Easy-PC\Library" folder contains just files with the EasyPC library names and ssx and psx extensions - what are these?

If it helps anyone else with lost libraries the actual folder with my EasyPC libraries in is "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Easy-PC\Library"

(I have also got a path to a friendly "C:\EasyPC" for my libraries)

Why is the library path settings in the Library Manager? Logically it should be in 'Setting | Preferences | library tab' at least that's where I would expect it to be!
Thanks
Al

I'm using Vista and EasyPC 14.01

The usual setting here is to point to the folder containing the standard library shipped with the product. This would either be in the 'Library' folder under where the program was installed, or under the 'Documents' folder, depending on the options you chose when installing.

That's why there isn't really a single 'Default' setting, although I guess the program could hunt around for what it thinks is the folder where the libraries have been placed.

If you have installed optional libraries (Micro Lib for example) into other folders, those should be added to the folders list too.
