I am using power symbols in my schematic and I wish to suppress them from the parts list. However it seems I can only apply the suppression option after they are placed on the schematic.

Is there a way to add an attribute in the component editor to suppress them, so they are suppressed from the moment they are placed onto the schematic?

Alternatively is it possible to use wildcards in the suppression file such that REF* for example will not appear in the parts list?
