Hello,

in the schematic editor, if I change a component package the values assigned sometimes disappear.

For example, changing a ceramic capacitor from 0805 to 0603 (same component, different package), all of the values disappear.

I have a similar component for a resistor with multiple footprints and this behaves as expected and retains the values.

I can't put my finger on why this happens with some components and not others.

I wonder if anyone else sees this or has a workaround?

Ian.

I have had this problem also, and some changed ok and some not ... in the same design !!
I remember contacting number one about it, but for the life of me I cannot remember the reason, explanation, or outcome !!

I would suggest contacting number one.

I have noticed this on occasions too!
Do both packages have the same value names defined in the component editor? and that for each package the viewed item are selected the same , i.e. Values, Pin Names, Pin Numbers, References, etc.
