Cost Options for Easy-PC

There are two Gerber import options available to you for Easy-PC. Both can be used to read Gerber data, one as a viewer and the other to rebuild the Gerber data back into an Easy-PC design intelligently with true connectivity and net names. Sometimes the original design data is not available, this set of Gerber files are now important as they can be fully rebuilt into an Easy-PC design as though they had started life in Easy-PC originally.

Intelligent Gerber Import

Import Gerber files, NC Drill and Bill Of Materials files into Easy-PC. Intelligently rebuild this information into a PCB design as though it was created in Easy-PC originally. Rebuilds track connectivity through all layers using connecting vias and pads. Rebuild pads and shapes back into design-based components. this option also includes the 'flat' Gerber Import viewer option.

Gerber Import

Import Gerber artworks into an Easy-PC PCB Design for viewing and pre-production checking. This option does not give you the same functionality as the Intelligent Gerber import option and is limited to viewing files only.

Limitations of the Gerber Import options

Both Gerber import options will not read Macros within the Gerber file. Typically, a Macro definition within the Gerber file would be used to define thermal relief on a powerplane or a rotated pad that is considered a non-standard rotation, i.e. is not 90 or 45 degreess.
